This is a wonderful vintage 1950's dress that is so beautifully made! The dress is black velvet with panels of gathered taffeta, going from the center of the bodice on both sides into a rounded panel at the front, and two separate panels in the back. There is a built-in full taffeta under skirt and a pellon lining.

This dress is unlabeled but appears to have been designer made and is reminiscent of Scaasi earlier dresses.

Excellent condition: the taffeta underskirt has a raw hem. Does not show when worn and can be hemmed.
